SDCOE's College and Career Readiness team supports the delivery of exemplary career education in San Diego County K-12 schools with the goal that every student graduates prepared for college, career and beyond. Our services bridge the educational experience with the world of work so that students can explore careers, build technical and professional skills, and create a blueprint for their future.

Students speak to recruitment managers from regional apprenticeship programs and learn about how they can receive training while earning a paycheck as they begin working in a high-wage, high-growth career.

This cross-sector student event will highlight the in-demand careers in Public Service, including public health, law enforcement, information and communications technology, and more.

SDCOE’s annual student culinary competition is back! Ten teams from across the county will prepare meals from an assigned list of ingredients for judges representing San Diego’s finest restaurants.

Teachers spend 2 days at Sony’s campus engaging with different departments and participating in hands-on workshops to better understand business functions and how to incorporate workforce skills into the classroom.
